Day 1 & 2 - Galena - 2011 Packard National Meet in Galena, Illinois

For all interested:
Ark-La-Tex Packard members David & Peggy Stewart have struck out on one adventuresome journey.
They are traveling in a 1925 Packard (pictured below) from Longview, TX to Galena, IL. A long trek in this type of vehicle. Can you believe this is being done with a car that has no windows?

Day 1
We are spending the night after an uneventful day on the road.   We are in Pocohontas, AR.,  374 miles today.  no photos, tired.

Day 2
648 miles so far and we are in Jerseyville, IL. The roughest part was going through St Louis. We stopped early, supposed to storm all day and we have missed it so far.  Note the photo of Peg bagging the luggage. I did get a fair shot of the Gateway arch with the Packard in the foreground and a decent photo of the river.  The only trouble so far has been my damn generator, the one i spent a load of money on - it quit, however, still had the old stand by with me so it was a 15 min. job to change.  If I can fix it with the tools and part I have it is just an inconvenience.
