A fair start to see some plantations and lunch at a tavern and then started raining about noon requiring side curtains and canceling the second plantation.  Then it got nasty. Game over.....

After Jane Vobe opened the King’s Arms Tavern in 1772, it became one of the town’s most genteel establishments. She once described it as a place “where the best people resorted.” Today, the tavern remains true to her words.

We are crossing the river to Jamestown on you guessed it the Jamestown Ferry run by the state. It was on Route 31. It was about a 15 minute ride. Total mileage - 1326

Somewhere in North Carolina - David and Peggy Stewart are having a "stop and smell the roses moment" or fix some stuff on the Packard. Either way they are both enjoying the journey.
